The UCTA is a nonprofit organization now entering its eighteenth year
of operation. It has grown from the original 12 members to nearly
50 corporate sponsors. Its members maintain total operations through
time contributions.
UCTA's purpose is to advance the science and practice of installing,
repairing, maintaining and replacing utility lines and related facilities
through construction and rehabilitation techniques. This includes municipal
water, sewer and waste water, gas distribution, oil gas transmission
and gathering, telephone, electric and cable systems. The UCTA also
serves to promote education, training, research, development and
information concerning underground technology and to promote the
use of that technology.
The focus of the organization is nation-wide where
companies face similar problems in the construction and maintenance
of their underground piping systems.
Utility Company, Engineering, Contractor, Manufacturer, Sales
Distribution, Academia and Research and the Trade Press represent
the governing
Board of Directors.
UCTA holds bimonthly general luncheon meetings
in the months of February, April, June, August, October and December
on the first Tuesday of the month. At each meeting, a keynote
speaker addresses issues pertinent to the growing trenchless industry.
UCTA is looking for candidates who have the knowledge, skill
and energy to lead our association. What a great opportunity
for you to offer your expertise and ideas to the association.
Begin your involvement as a UCTA leader now by letting
us hear from you today.
